Australia Day 2018

On 26th January 2018 the Berri Barmera Council Community Awards were presented on the Berri foreshore.

The Mayor, Elected members and staff would like to congratulate this years worthy Australia Day Award recipients; Jean Voigt, Samantha Hauptman, Cobdogla Primary School Centenary Celebrations and Barmera's Santa's Cave. (To learn more about these recipients please see their profiles)

The ceremony was preceeded by the annual celebration walk and breakfast and attended by approximately 200 Berri Barmera residents and visitors.

ABOVE: (left to right) Citizen of the Year - Jean Voigt, Mayor Peter Hunt, Community Event of the Year - Cobdogla Primary School Centenary Celebrations represented by Ann Klingbeil,  Building a Better Community Award - Monique Gordon representing Barmera's Santa's Cave and Young Citizen of the Year - Samantha Hauptman.
