REVIEW OF ELECTOR REPRESENTATION

Notice is hereby given that the Berri Barmera Council is undertaking a review to determine whether a change of arrangements are required in respect to elector representation so as to ensure that the electors of the area being adequately and fairly represented.

 

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 12(7) of the Local Government Act 1999, notice is hereby given that Council has prepared a Representation Options Paper which examines the advantages and disadvantages of the various options available in regards to the composition and structure of Council, and the division of the Council area into wards. 

 

 A copy of the Representation Options Paper is available here, or a copy can be inspected and/or purchased at the Council offices, 19 Wilson Street, Berri.

 

Written submissions are invited from interested persons from Thursday 20th October 2016  and should be directed to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 229, Berri 5343, or emailed to bbc@bbc.sa.gov.au by close of business on Friday 2nd December 2016. The form can be downloaded here.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND ASSET MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Berri Barmera Council invites public submissions on its Draft Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan (IAMP), which includes buildings, footpaths, machinery, roads, stormwater and community wastewater management system.

The Draft IAMP outlines how Council intends to effectively manage its infrastructure and assets over the next 10 years. Feedback on the Draft IAMP will be reviewed, collated and presented to Council to inform their decision making on priorities for the next 10 years.

A copy of the Draft IAMP is available here, or a copy can be inspected and/or purchased at the Council office, 19 Wilson Street, Berri or alternatively Barmera Library and Customer Service Centre, Barwell Avenue Barmera.

Written submissions are invited from interested persons from Tuesday 29th November 2016 and should be directed to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 229, Berri 5343, or emailed to bbc@bbc.sa.gov.au by close of business on Friday 6th January 2017.
