If you're aged between 12 and 25... GET INVOLVED and make a difference !

YACU is the Berri Barmera Councils Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). YAC's advise their Local Council on issues relating to young people in their area.

YACU is made up of a diverse range of young people aged between 12 and 25 years, which meet every second month at the Berri Town Hall to maintain effective communication with Council and plan events ant programs for young people. We want your thoughts!

The Berri Barmera Council believe in empowering young people in the our community to address issues that they see as important and giving youth a voice to be heard within the community.

The Youth Advisory Committee is connecting young people with opportunities and representing the broader youth community on relevent topics. The Berri Barmera Council aim to build a communication pathway that links young people in a meaningful way. Connecting young people with Council, Community and Organisations!

YACU creates the opportunity for young people to develop confidence, skills, knowledge and  leadership as well as have some fun and socialise.

National Youth Week

National Youth Week is a week held once a year across Australia to celebrate young people's involvement in their community. Each YAC (Youth Advisory Committee) and other community groups, can apply for funds to hold activities locally to celebrate!
