Roads and Footpaths
Council has an extensive network of roads and footpaths across our district. To ensure that these community assets can be maintained within the constrains of available resources, these works are required to be scheduled.
Council will endeavour to best inform those effected by any works with a letter drop to try and minimise any impact that may be caused but it is inevitable that some inconvenience will be experienced.
Proposed Works Program 2022-2023
If you have a complaint or request to make regarding any infrastructure issue within the Berri Barmera Council area, please complete the online Complaints/Request form or contact our principal office on 8582 1922 to lodge a customer request.
FOOTPATHS & KERBING
Works on footpaths and kerbing will be undertaken, as required within the district. Please note that all of the kerbing (or footpath) in a section may not need to be replaced because it may have previously been renewed or only requires minor maintenance.
ROADS
Reseals, New Sealing and Resheeting work is undertaken throughout our district on a priority basis.
There are several factors that may affect the priority of an unsealed road being sealed, including road alignment and road reserve condition, the density of dwellings on the road, traffic volume, safety consideration, school route or not, and the farming area along the road and overall cost to undertake the project.
Council reviews the road upgrading program every 2 years as a part of the next version of this is available on this page. The current proposed road upgrading list is included in this Plan
