Library Services
The Berri Barmera Council has two public libraries in the district for the use by the community.
Both the Berri and Barmera Libraries offer a diverse range of services and resources including free public internet access (including WiFi), large print resources, magazines, newspapers, audio books, local and family history resources, fiction and non-fiction, free children’s storytime and activities and much more.
We are part of the One Card network, which gives you access to over three million books, audiobooks, newspapers, movies, music and more. It also allows you to reserve, borrow and return items to any South Australian Public Library.
Council services are available from the front office desk at the Barmera Library and all council payments can be made here including rates, building development application fees, busking fees and general council enquiries. Help with dog registrations is also available.
