Riverland Regional Assessment Panel

The Minister for Planning constituted the Riverland Regional Assessment Panel, incorporating the areas of Berri Barmera Council, the Renmark Paringa Council, and the District Council of Loxton Waikerie, pursuant to the Planning Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 (the PDI Act). The Regional Assessment Panel commenced operations on 31 July 2020.

The following people have been appointed as members of the Riverland Regional Assessment Panel, in accordance with a Service Agreement between the Councils:

Cr Andrew Kassebaum is the Elected Member appointed to the Panel until end December 2024, on behalf of the host, the Berri Barmera Council.

The Panel is a relevant authority for the purposes of Development Assessment in accordance with the PDI Act. The Panel in turn delegates some of its decision-making powers to the Regional Assessment Manager.

The Panel will adhere to the Code of Conduct for Assessment Panel Members, provided by Schedule 3 of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act, and adopts its own Meeting Procedures for the conduct of its members and for its meetings.   Codes of Conduct - Plan SA
