Australia Day Event 2021

This year's Australia Day event will be held on 26 January 2021 on the foreshore of Lake Bonney in Barmera.

The Mayor, Elected members and staff would like to congratulate this years worthy Australia Day Award recipients;

Event of the Year:                                       Riverland Primary Schools' Music Festival - Inaugural Grand Final Event

Building a Better Community Award:     Riverland South Australian Aboriginal Secondary Training Academy

Australia Day Community Walk

Why not kick start your Australia Day with family and friends and participate in a community walk.

The walk will commence at approximately 6.45am on the Lake Bonney foreshore, this will be followed by a FREE breakfast and Awards Ceremony.  If you would like to join us on the walk, please complete the registration form and return it to us by Thursday 21 January 2020.

Berri Barmera Council invites you to join us and celebrate what's great about Australia and our community with a free breakfast and official ceremony, including presentation of awards to winners of Council’s Australia Day Awards.  These awards recognise residents who have made an outstanding contribution to our community during the year, or over a number of years.
