Venues and Facilities

Organising your event

Berri Barmera Council has a range of venues available for general use by residents and visitors alike. Scroll down this page to find a list of halls and meeting rooms suitable for most events and functions. Combined with our parks and gardens you should be able to find a site for intimate weddings, barbecues, corporate functions and festivals.

For most organised activities, you will need to book a venue or gain a permit for using Council locations.  You can do this by completing an Event Application Form listed below.  You will also need to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions listed below.

In the list below we have also provided an Event Checklist, this is to assist you with planning your event.

To find out more about access to any of our venues please contact the Property Officer on 8582 1922.

Bonney Theatre

Bonney Theatre Complex

Bonney Theatre header photos

Bonney Theatre was constructed in 1938 and adjoins the Soldiers Memorial Hall which was the original venue for social activities in the 1920’s. This building is an example of art deco architecture.  Originally used as a picture theatre, it is now the town’s entertainment center holding dances, concerts, musical, festivals and the like.

This multi purpose venue is located in the heart of Barmera, and is an ideal venue for holding events such as wedding receptions, performances, exhibitions, product launches, workshops, board meetings etc.

If you are looking for a venue that has character and beauty—then Imagine holding your event in this beautiful hall, with polished wooden floors and great acoustics.
