Letters of the Riverland

10th July 2020
These school holiday, the walls of Bonney Theatre will come to life with “Letters of the Riverland”

The Bonney Theatre will be presenting a show of a different kind these school holidays with the first public show using the Berri Barmera Council’s permanent digital projectors which were obtained by Council with the assistance of the federal government’s Drought Communities Programme Funding.

The Berri Barmera Council has commissioned local arts organisation Part of Things to create “Letters of the Riverland”, a project working with Riverland writers, photographers, and emerging digital artists. This inaugural digital work supports artists across the Riverland, bringing them together to collaborate with a new format.

The creation of an external art gallery in Barmera will add to the vibrancy of this town and the Riverland, providing a new experience for Riverlanders and tourists to our region.

The projectors will light up the entire side wall of the Theatre along Pascoe Terrace in a stunning display of image and sound from Saturday 11 July to Sunday 19 July from 7.00pm until 8.30pm nightly.

This event is one in a series as part of Council’s Wellbeing Program to be rolled out over the next 6 months.  Keep an eye on our Facebook page for future events.
