Wine Grape Growers Rate Remission

Wine grape growers are likely ‘doing it tough’ this year due to the drop in yields - Council has endorsed a rate remission for those affected.

At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 23 May 2023, it was proposed that Council consider rate remissions for wine grape growers for the 2023/24 rating period as many growers having been doing it tough.

At the meeting, Council made the following resolution:

That council;

1. consider applications for rate remission from wine grape growers for the 23/24 rating period; and,

2. inform property owners of the rate remissions available to them when first quarter rates notices are distributed.
