Outbreak Restrictions for our Townships

The outbreaks in Berri, Monash and Cooltong came to an end on 27 December 2021 and residents can once again move at-risk fruit and vegetables from their properties.

RESTRICTIONS: The red fruit fly outbreaks in Renmark West and Pike River are continuing until 6 May 2022 due to new detections. Residents can not move any fruit or vegetables that fruit fly like from their property.

Because the Renmark West and Pike River outbreaks continue, the Berri, Cooltong and Monash townships are now in YELLOW suspension areas.

Fruit should not be taken into GREEN areas from a YELLOW area, and it cannot be brought back into a  YELLOW area if it has been in a RED area.   What area do you reside in -  click here to see maps

The Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) will continue visiting properties in red outbreak areas to apply organic bait and install fruit fly traps.
