Fruit fly has been detected in a property within the Berri township which means that there are now some restrictions in place for the movement of at risk fruit and vegetables within the area.

Environment and Sustainability Committees

About the Environment and Sustainability Committee

The Key functions of the Environment and Sustainability Committee are to

  • Support the development and implementation of a long term (ten year) Environment and Sustainability Management Plan
  • Act as a key reference body for Council in regard to strategic and key operational matters pertaining to Environment and Sustainability.
  • Make recommendations to Council relevant to Environment and Sustainability.

The Committee membership consists of Community Members, Elected Members, Department of Environment and Water, Glossop High School Students and Berri Barmera Landcare.

Meets: (Bi-monthly) Second Tuesday of every second month at 5.30pm
