About the Strategy, Assets and Major Projects Committee

The Key functions of the Strategy, Assets and Major Projects Committee are to

  • develop, implement and review a Strategic Plan for the Berri Barmera Council area
  • oversee, monitor and review Council’s major projects and Annual Business Plan
  • oversee the regular evaluation of asset management and programs and the review of relevant service levels.
  • receive deputations and/or representations from interested parties, which may aid council in determining its objectives, strategies and priorities.
  • establish sub-committees and/or working parties to assist in carrying out the committee’s functions.
  • consider any other matters referred to it by the council, other council committees and the Chief Executive Officer.
  • guide the development of the asset management framework for the council and make recommendations for consideration in forward financial estimates, and to deal with matters in respect of Council’s asset management programs.
  • formulate and deliver appropriate strategies in relation to its strategic property holdings.

The Committee membership is the Mayor and all Councillors

Meets: (Bi-monthly) Second Tuesday of every second month, 6:00pm
