Land, Property, Grants and Awards Committee
The key functions of the Land, Property, Grants and Awards Committee are to:
- Providing advice and recommendations on lease and licence matters in order to facilitate decision making by Council.
- Consulting on the development and review of Community Land Management Plans.
- Considering the productive and best uses of Council’s land and property.
- Overseeing, monitoring and reviewing Council’s Community Grants, Citizen of the Year and associated awards programs and policies;
- To review and select successful and unsuccessful Community Grant applications and citizen/community awards;
- Recommending to Council the allocation of funds within the assigned Community Grants annual budget amount, to eligible community groups and organisations in accordance with the programs implementation guidelines and Community Grants Policies.
Meets: (quarterly) on Tuesday evenings at 6pm
