Berri Library relocation project nearing completion
The current Kay Avenue library will close in mid-December to enable the move, with the new library to open early next year at 29 Riverview Drive, Berri.
During the closure period, Barmera Library will remain open for the community’s library needs (with the exception of Christmas closure).
During this time, library users will also be able to utilise the One Card Network, which enables users to borrow and return items at public libraries across South Australia.
The Berri Library relocation will help activate the Berri riverfront and along with housing books and historical information, it will also feature a children’s area and meeting room.
The Berri Library was required to relocate from its current Kay Avenue site due to space constraints at the newly expanded Berri Regional Secondary College.
Further updates about the library’s relocation will occur in coming weeks.
