Stage 2 Works

The Barmera Playspace Committee were successful in obtaining funding for a new stage of works that has provided facilities for disabled visitors. This included a new disabled swing, spring platform, see saw and trike track. The Committee also funded additional works that provided football goals and a drop shot goal. Works are now complete on this stage of works which has provided one of the most desirable locations for young families to attend in the region.

Stormwater upgrade

Funding was obtained for a new swale and planting system to assist with the disposal of stormwater in Barmera. This system will assist in removing pollutants from the water before being discharged and will result in less harm to our water systems. Construction commenced in 2013/14 and will be completed in late 2015.
