We are seeking a talented and motivated communications professional to join our executive services team in the new role of Communications and Engagement Officer. In this role you will drive communications, ensuring people feel informed, engaged and aligned to our community’s strategies.

Focused on strengthening our public presence you will craft and curate innovative and compelling content to initiate conversations.  Drawing on your experience, you will be aware of emerging trends that attracts and retains the interest and attention of our community.

In strengthening our connection with our community, you will establish partnerships, enabling us to identify our community’s priorities and values that continue to shape services and service systems.

Your ability to recognise and capitlise on opportunities, along with your keen attention to detail, inquisitive nature and curiosity to explore new initiatives, will be valued within this role.

About Council

Berri Barmera Council, with its main office located at Berri in South Australia’s Riverland, is approximately 220km northeast of Adelaide on the beautiful Murray River. It also incorporates Barmera, the 2017 National Tidy Town Winner, positioned on the foreshore of the picturesque Lake Bonney. It occupies a total area of 508 square kilometres and is a diverse multicultural district of over 10,500 people.
