McGilton Road

Council is currently constructing new footpaths along McGilton Road.
Over the coming weeks, you will see more activity with contractors commencing works with stormwater connection to the kerb line; and spray sealing of the footpaths’.

The eastern end of McGilton Road has recently seen some activity with the start of new kerbing and parking assigned to the area.
To date, local concrete contractor has completed the North Eastern kerbing alignment which includes storm water side entry pits and sumps to carry road water away. The road edge is now being back filled so that bitumen can be relayed along with bull rock swale as an added support to drain mechanism.
Once complete footpaths and cross over walkways will be installed which will then complete stage 1 of McGilton Road. Stage 2 of McGilton Road will commence shortly after stage 1 and this will be addressing kerbing and parking across from the Medical Centre and St Catherines. This will also include aligning crossover walkways with stage 1 and some beautification in areas.
